Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's professional moving and transport services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our moving process, client responsibilities, and service expectations.

1. Service Agreement

By booking our moving services—whether through house moves, office relocations, or van hire—you agree to these terms. Our transport services operate in compliance with relevant UK transport regulations and industry standards.

We provide professional moving services through our trained, insured movers across England.

2. Service Scope and Moving Standards

Our services include residential moves, commercial relocations, and transport hire. We focus on providing organised moving using appropriate equipment and techniques that meet current industry standards.

While we perform moves to professional standards, outcomes can be influenced by access conditions, weather, and traffic circumstances. We provide realistic timeframes and use our expertise to achieve efficient moving results.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure successful moving outcomes, clients agree to:

  • Provide clear access to both collection and delivery locations
  • Secure pets and clear pathways before our arrival
  • Disclose any valuable or fragile items requiring special handling
  • Ensure parking arrangements are made where required
  • Be available to provide access and moving instructions

Proper preparation and accurate information help us provide efficient and effective moving services.

4. Property Access and Parking

Clients are responsible for ensuring safe vehicle access and adequate parking at both collection and delivery addresses. We require clear loading access and may need to reschedule if vehicle access cannot be safely established.

We reserve the right to charge for waiting time if access delays are caused by unprepared properties or unavailable parking.

5. Quotations and Service Confirmation

Quotations are provided based on initial assessment and are valid for 30 days. Service confirmation requires written approval of the quotation. Moving dates are secured upon confirmation receipt and deposit payment where applicable.

Additional services or items identified on moving day may affect pricing and completion time, which will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

6. Insurance and Liability Coverage

Our services include basic liability insurance as standard. Additional insurance coverage is available for high-value items, which must be declared and valued before the move. Insurance details and coverage limits are provided with each quotation.

Clients are responsible for securing their own insurance for items not declared or exceeding standard coverage limits.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. For moves exceeding £500, we may require a 25% deposit to secure the booking. Payment methods will be confirmed before service commences.

Late payments may incur interest charges and affect future service scheduling. We reserve the right to require payment for completed services before unloading at the delivery address.

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Moves may be rescheduled without charge with 72 hours notice. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a £50 charge. Cancellations on the moving day will be charged at 25% of the quoted price.

We understand that circumstances change and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests when possible.

9. Prohibited and Restricted Items

We cannot transport hazardous materials, flammable substances, firearms, perishable goods, or live animals. A complete list of restricted items is available upon request and must be reviewed before the moving day.

Discovery of prohibited items during loading may result in service suspension and additional charges for handling and disposal.

10. Packing and Preparation Standards

Clients are responsible for ensuring items are properly prepared for transport. We provide packing services as an optional extra, but cannot accept liability for damage to improperly packed items when packing service was declined.

We recommend using professional packing materials and methods for fragile and valuable items.

11. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

While we plan moves carefully, circumstances like severe weather, traffic conditions, or access issues may cause delays. We communicate any significant delays promptly and work to minimise disruption to your moving schedule.

We cannot accept liability for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

12. Storage Services

Short-term storage is available with agreed terms. Storage fees are payable monthly in advance, and items unclaimed after 90 days may be subject to disposal in accordance with UK storage regulations.

We maintain appropriate insurance for stored items, but recommend clients maintain their own coverage for full value protection.

13. Liability Limitations

Our liability for services is limited to the terms of our insurance policy and the cost of the moving service. We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage, inherent item weaknesses, or issues arising from improper client preparation.

We maintain appropriate insurance and follow industry best practices in our moving operations.

14. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
